will support the Government's anti-terrorism laws, although he believes they are
Two anti-terrorism bills have been...
debated at the same time in the Legislative Assembly.
The Government's bill has been amended, after it accepted
26 of the 36 recommendations put forward by the legal affairs committee, which
examined the bill.
Mr Stefaniak says the ACT should adopt NSW's anti-terrorism
The main difference in the bills is that NSW laws give
police greater powers to issue a preventative detention order.
"Ensuring that would-be terrorists are actually able to be
detained," he said.
