Protest demonstration against Indian state terrorism in Bandipora

Srinagar, April 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, forceful demonstration was held in Bandipora against Indian state terrorism.

Thousands of people, mostly women and children, took to the streets and protested against atrocities, ransacking the houses and killing of a Kashmiri policeman by troops of 5-Jat Regiment at Aragamm in Bandipora.

The protestors told media men that troops of 5 Jat went berserk when some children playing in Aragam raised anti-India and anti-occupation forces slogans. The troops ransacked the houses and beat up many civilians including ...

...women. The residents staged a protest demonstration and observed total shutdown. People informed the local police station about the Army's atrocities, adding that when the local police party reached Aragam, Indian troops fired indiscriminately and killed a police Constable Nazir Ahmad Butt and another, constable Mehraj-u-Din, was injured. The protesters took the body of the constable in their custody and laid it in the courtyard of Jama Masjid Aragam and offered Nimaze-Jinazah. For the whole night the protestors shouted slogans against India and demanded freedom from India.

9th standard student Arif Ahmed Sofi disappeared, when he left home for Isha prayers at Dewan colony Islamabad.

Indian troops arrested two youth in Udhampur district.
